Listening to Julianna Barwick is like discovering that beauty exists in a raw form. As an element. Or as some crystalline structure unearthed from the soil that shimmers, translucently, with sunlight. We wrote before about the meaning behind the title of Barwick’s delicate and gorgeous new album Nepenthe, which will see release August 20th via Dead Oceans.
