Just days after the death of a disco queen, Bee Gee Robin Gibb has passed away. Gibb spent the last few years of his life battling cancer. He was 62 years old.
The legendary Bee Gee first rose to success at just 9 years old when he and his brothers (Maurice and Barry) released Barry Gibb & the Bee Gees Sing and Play 14 Barry Gibb songs with minor hits “Wine and Women” and “New York Mining Disaster 1941”. The group broke up in 1969 and regrouped two years later, going on to release mega-hits “Staying Alive” and “Night Fever” for the soundtrack of the film Saturday Night Fever. Gibb continued to work over the years, with the Bee Gees and as a solo artist, carving a significant spot in music history.
