Merge Announces New Supergroup Featuring Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner, and Sam Brown

Just today, Merge announced the existence of a new band, Divine Fits, comprise of indie-rock superheroes Britt Daniel (Spoon), Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade) and Sam Brown (New Bomb Turks). The trio have already recorded an album, which was produced by Nick Launay, who has worked with Arcade Fire, Talking Heads, and Gang of Four to name only a few.

The untitled album is slated for release later this year, and Merge has promised forthcoming news involving an official release date and live performances. I guess it goes without saying that we’re already on pins and needles.
