Track Review: “Love Some1” – Holy Other

Holy Other has announced that they will be releasing their debut album, Held, on Tri Angle Records on August 27th. The album follows the groups well-received first EP With U, which came out last year. “Love Some1” is the first sampling from the forthcoming LP and can be described as a dark, pulsing electronic track with elements of dub step. Maybe it’s just that I’ve been rewatching Twin Peaks too much lately, but the song sort of reminds me of Angelo Badalamenti’s iconic score. Full tracklisting for Held and tour dates for Holy Other are below the stream.
