No Future Shares Demos

Austin’s No Future, fronted by Randy Reynolds of Leatherbag fame has shared a series of four new demos. Reynolds is a guy whose influences over the years have tangibly affected his songwriting, as well as solidified and structured it. The newest tunes lie somewhere between 50s pop, 60s garage, and 70s punk, but retain a freshness with their own talky vocals, disjointed guitar licks and walky bass notes. A few moments are rough, as one would expect from a demo; for example, Reynolds hits the first line of the second verse with much more accuracy and conviction than does he on the first. Overall, this new material, which marks No Future’s first songs with the new moniker, is an exciting indicator of what is sure to follow. Stream “I Wanna Cry” below and hear the other three songs on their Soundcloud page. In traditional Reynolds fashion, included is a cover, this time of The Strangeloves 1965 song Night Time.
