HBO’s True Blood has a history of employing credible songwriters such as Nick Cave and Neko Case who covered the Zombies’ “She’s Not There” last season, and the Eels who wrote an original track called “Fresh Blood” for an earlier episode of the supernatural, noir series. Now, Iggy Pop and Best Coast have collaborated on an original track called “Let’s Boot and Rally,” which will be featured on this week’s July 8th episode. I’m a little confused on what the track means in general, but it does possess a gritty, southern feel that fits right in with the drawling vampires, backwoods werewolves, and sassy fairies.
