New Track: “The Hill” – Ty Segall

As we previously reported, psychedelic and prolific mastermind Ty Segall has yet another new album coming out on the heels of his recent release, which dropped just last month. Twins is due out on Drag City on October 9th. Today, Segall releases the first single from the record. “The Hill” is available today as a digital download and will be available in physical form on September 4th. The physical single is b/w a track exclusive to the singe entitled “Mother Lemonade.”

“The Hill” begins with an isolated female vocal line smothered by metallic recoil before the song bursts wide open, transforming into a blistering psych anthem of whining guitars, frantic drums, and Segall’s wailing vocals. However, the track still contains tight pop sensibilities. Epic psychedelia in under three minutes. Do we need to say more?
