“Jack,” the new track and video by U.S. Girls wastes no time, kicking things off with full force from the first note. From there, the track procedes to be a driving, glam-infused indie romp. Visually, the video utilizes bright colors and lavish costuming. Though the laid-back, cooler-than-school track isn’t exactly upbeat, it never lulls. Clocking in at around two-and-half-minutes, it fits the mold of the short and sweet pop song in the best way possible. For a point of reference think Best Coast mixed with 70s era Bowie. “Jack” will appear on the band’s new album, GEM, set for release on October 23rd via FatCat. Watch above.
