Just in time for Halloween, in their debut video for upcoming album track “Say No to Thugs,” Lost Animal tells the story of a boy trying to dispose of a body, only to have it rise in time for the bass line. After the plan goes awry, the video’s central character meets an untimely end from what is presumably the upset woman from the videos opening scenes. The dead men reunite in a psychedelic afterworld for the song’s outro. Aurally, “Say No to Thugs” is a dark, minimalist, synth-and-vocal-driven track with eerie farfisa organ notes. The song will be found on Lost Animal’s debut album Ex Tropical, which has previously been released in the band’s home country of Australia and is slated for a January 29th release on Hardly Art.
