Video: Beach House – “Wild”

In a way, I’ve been waiting for this for months. “Wild” is my favorite track from what I consider to be a serious contender for the year’s best album, Beach House’s Bloom. The video for the song, directed by filmmaker Johan Renck (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead), utlizes dim, gritty cinematography that contrasts with the track’s shimmering flourishes. Romance and frustration simmer under the surface, building toward cathartic endings in parallel storylines. Watch “Wild” above.
