Yesterday, Merge Records announced the release of a new Radar Brothers record, entitled Eight (it’s their 8th album), and also shared the first single, “If We Were Banished,” from the forthcoming LP. The track is a huge, crushing cut with blistering guitars. The steady snare provides a structure, backbone, and a solid groove for what remains a swirling yet dark, downtempo track. “If We Were Banished” represents an immediacy and quality as vital as any of the band’s previous material. We’re looking forward to the album dropping via Merge on January 29th.
