New Track: “Ghosts and Creatures” – Telekinesis

Telekinesis is the project of Michael Benjamin Lerner, who is three records into his career now. Or will be once Dormarion is released on the Merge label on April 2nd. The Seattle resident travelled to Austin to work with Spoon drummer Jim Eno at his Public Hi-Fi studio for the recording of this collection of 12 songs. Lerner describes the album’s lead single “Ghosts and Creatures” as “the most unlike-me song I’d ever written.” The track is expansive and frenetic, built on a tapestry of synthetic sound. Though Telekinesis records as a one man project, this spring’s touring band will will feature “Erik Walters of The Globes on guitar, Say Hi’s Eric Elbogen on bass, and Rebecca Cole of Wild Flag and The Minders on keyboards,” according to a press release from the artist’s publicist. Full tour dates for the band are listed below the stream. Hear “Ghosts and Creatures” below.
