After beginning a career performing with the bands Voxtrot and Brazos, Paul Price started the project Good Field and released a debut EP last year. Locally hailed as a triumph from one Austin’s most promising bands, the EP received buzz from blogs such as Side One Track One. Now, Good Field is set to return with their first LP, out next week.
Already, the band has release two single from the album: the excellently shimmery, laid-back pop song “These Dreams” and the 70s-esque groove tune “Tell Me Ida.” On both, Good Field’s Paul Price’s smooth growl is affecting, and the songs both rock and soothe. Both songs are available for streaming below and offer great promise for the full-length that is to come.
As if this weren’t enough good news from Good Field, the band has announced an album release show with Dana Falconberry and Belaire on February 22nd. That’ll be a good one, so mark your calendars. In the mean time, we’ll anxiously anticipate what we believe will be one of Austin’s finest albums this year, and you can stream the first two singles below. Tracklisting for the album follows the streams.
