Grave Babies are set to release their second full-length album on Seattle’s Sub Pop subsidiary (say that 10 times fast) Hardly Art Records. The new jam, “No Fear,” leaves the guitars of the first single behind and is a dark, gritty, synth-fueled affair that invokes a less dreamy and more nightmarish M83. To leave aside contemporary reference points, singer Danny Wahlfeldt claims Nine Inch Nails as an influence, and we’re buying it. If this sort of growly, punishing synth-punk is what will dominate the entire record, Wahlfeldt picked an apt title for it; Crusher is due out on February 26th. Stream both “No Fear” and “Over and Under the Ground” below.
