Indie pop veterans Stars have announced a new EP that you can procure for free! Since the album is in part a thanks to fans, it has bee aptly dubbed the You Guys Are Awesome EP. If you decide to generously give back as they have given to you, an option exists to add a tip. The EP serves as a sort of tour promotion, consisting of two tracks from Stars and three tracks (one each) by the bands that will support Stars on their upcoming tour. Epically titled, the EP’s opener “Hold On When Get Love and Let Go When You Give It” recalls New Order with its upbeat drums and dancey bass line. “Lights Changing Colour,” which features acoustic guitars and gentle cooing, serves as a stark contrast, representing dichotomous styles that Stars has often embodied.
