SXSW Preview: Good Field

good_fieldFrom right here in Austin, TX, Good Field is one of the bands Pop Press International is most excited about right now. Their excelent debut album was just released last month, and the band is currently out on a national tour. Below you can read a brief interview with the band, followed by a stream of the band’s song “These Dreams” and their SXSW appearances, only two dates, both on Saturday. See them, SXSW attendees!

PPI: Who is one artist or band you’re hoping to catch while you’re in town for SXSW?

Paul Price: Foxygen

PPI: Have you ever played SXSW before? Nope, we are a fairly new band.

Paul Price: What’s your most unbelievable SXSW memory?

Paul Price: It’s great when you stumble across bands that win you over because of an amazing performance. Deerhunter 2007 and Big Freedia 2011.

PPI: Is there a favorite album or artist the band listens to on the road?

Paul Price: Recently, we have been on a Caribou kick while we travel

Paul Price: What’s the best meal the band has ever had on the road? Our drummer Esteban has a beautiful mother that makes us amazing Spanish and Mexican cuisines whenever we drive through Dallas. All her meals are the best meals.

PPI: What’s one thing about Texas that’s totally different from anywhere else?

Paul Price: You can see a scorpion fighting a bear and not know who’s gonna win.

12:00PM (Noon) at The New Movement 616 Lavaca St.

Saturday, March 16
