The Black Angels, Deerhunter, Clinic, Os Mutantes, White Fence, DIIV, Tamaryn, and Besnard Lakes are just a few of the names that occupy the extensive and excellent lineup Austin Psych Fest has in store for it’s 6th annual festival. The biggest, notable change in festival proceedings this year is that the event will take place outside of Austin and will offer the option of camping. The grounds look beautiful, and we see April as an ideal time for squeezing in one more nice outdoor adventure before Texas’s summer heat smothers us all. Over the past six years, Austin Psych Fest has grown substantially in size and notoriety, and Pop Press International will be proud to bring you excellent coverage of this year’s installment. You can get your tickets here.
In related news, festival creators The Black Angels have a new album on the horizon. Indigo Meadow will be released next week on April 2nd on Blue Horizon. You can stream a track, “Evil Things,” from the record below via Soundcloud.
