Reservations Release EP, Celebrate with Show on April 13

reservations-reservationsAustin’s Reservations is a band fronted by Jana Horn, who began writing songs as a solo project. After recorded with Paul Price of Good Field, the band added Jason Baczynski and Alán Uribe, both of Tacks The Boy Disaster. The group will celebrate the release of its debut EP on Saturday April 13th with a show at the Mohawk with an incredibly stalwart lineup of bands: Grace Park & the Deer, and Hello Caller.

The EP is a collection of 5 lean folk songs built on Horn’s emotive, smoky vocals that occasionally venture into higher ranges. Horn’s voice is affecting to be sure, and along with spare, deliberate drums and reverb-tinged slide, the songs drift by with dreamy beauty. You can stream “The Road We Travelled Down,” the lead track from the band’s self-titled EP, below, or head over to the band’s Bandcamp page to hear more.
