Show Preview: Bleached at Mohawk w/ Hunters and Fleshlights

bleachedThis weekend holds in store several great shows. Performing at the Mohawk Friday night will be Bleached, a band that has seen widespread buzz over the past few months surrounding their appearances at SXSW. Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin front the band, which crates upbeat power-pop like a 21st century Shangri-Las. The group just dropped their debut album Ride Your Heart on April 2nd on one of our favorite labels, Dead Oceans. The Mohawk is definitely where we’ll be Friday night.

Opening the bill are NYC’s foreboding punk group Hunters and Austin’s magnificently raucous Fleshlights. Below you can watch the video for “Next Stop,” the first single from Bleached’s debut LP as well as stream a track by each of the opening bands.
