Two New Videos from Akron/Family, “Until the Morning” and “Samurai”

Experimental psych folk band Akron/Family have released a new video directed by Brian Sowell, which features a simple, sparse set from which frontman Miles Seaton delivers the song’s lyrics. The slow pulsing of the song eventually opens up into a more expansive chorus, mirroring Seaton’s eventual exit from the house and into the streets where he stands near burning furniture.

Additionally, the band has released a video created for their appearance on the television show Audio-Files, filmed in Utah for BYUTV. The video depicts the band performing an interpretation of a Robert Pinsky poem “Samurai Song.” It’s pretty breathtaking. Watch both videos below. Preorder Sub Verses, which is out April 30th on Dead Oceans, here.
