Built on quirky, squealing synths, strange percussive clicks, and thin distorted bursts, “Cindy + Me” is the first single released in advanced of Caged Animals’ sophomore effort, which is due out later this year on Lucky Number Music. Vincent Cacchione croons his way through this self-proclaimed “outlaw love song” as intermittent whispers declare “We’re living on top of the world.” Cacchione said that song was his “attempt at capturing some sinister version of the adolescent dream,” explaining the story of the track as “a crazed teenager in love, running away from home with the girl and some twisted view of the future. We’ve got her father tied up in the house, a smoldering corpse, we’ve got the cash…and we’re going to get away with it.” The single will be officially released and available for purchase on June 17, but you can stream “Cindy + Me” below via Soundcloud:
