Austin Bands Set To Play Toronto’s NXNE in June

nxneLiving in Austin means that being a part of SXSW is next to given, and most citizens find themselves caught up in the festivities at least once during its sprawling ten days. However, few of our Texas brethren have likely attended the festivals distant sister festival, NXNE (North by Northesast, as you might have guessed). However, stalwart and championed Austin band The Sour Notes have the distinction of performing at the festival twice now, and 2013 will mark their third appearance.

In addition to steadfast Austin group The Sour Notes, Austin bands Quiet Company, who have seen increasing commercial success, along with local favorites The Boxing Lesson will perform the festival. These three Austin acts join a lineup of heavyweights like The National and Big Boi as well as up and coming and lauded indie groups like Iceage, Diana, and Mikal Cronin.
