The Dig creates atmospheric and textured psychedelic rock and both approaches are reflected in “Angeline,” the opening track on the band’s forthcoming Tired Hearts EP, out June 4th. David Baldwin provides dreamy, reverb-soaked vocals over a mixture of clean channel electrics and distortion washed guitars. Sprawling epically, the track shifts dramatically into whining guitar tones and and higher pitched vocals that carry the song through its second half. The band will begin a tour next month that includes a June 15th appearance at Austin venue Holy Mountain. Stream “Angeline” below.
