New Track: Austra – “Painful Like”

austra_newWe continue to be impressed with Austra. Their show opening for The xx in Austin was outstanding and frontwoman Katie Stelmanis can belt it out like no one else. The synthy art-pop group has already released a video and first single from their forthcoming album Olympia, which is out June 18th on Domino. Now, they’ve released a new song, “Painful Like,” which is built on perfect, dark synths, driving drums, and of course, Stelmanis’ voice. Stream the track below via Soundcloud. Additionally, you can see the band perform at Mohawk on September 13th. Full tour dates follow the stream.
