Standing behind Toronto’s famous Horseshoe Tavern, minutes before Quiet Company would take a stage that has hosted performances by The Rolling Stones and Wilco, we were able to talk with them about their experiences in Toronto and at the NXNE music festival. The band is one of three Austin bands that will perform at this year’s installment of NXNE. The other two are genre-fusing indie-rock act The Sour Notes (also interviewed about NXNE here) and hard-hitting band The Boxing Lesson. Quiet Company bring high-energy indie rock embellished with horns and keys to the stage. The band plays their official NXNE showcase tonight at 9:30 at Rivoli at 334 Queen St. You can catch a second NXNE performance at Rancho Relaxo on Saturday at Midnight. Watch our interview above.
