Native Sound Records will launch with a double A-side single by John Vanderslice. The 7″ will drop tomorrow and will feature the tracks “Song for Clay Miller” and “Vitas at Wimbledon.” Both tracks were produced by TW Walsh, former drummer for Pedro the Lion and Headphones. The songs reflect the shifts Vanderslice has made away from his singer-songwriter roots and accentuate the unusual, sparse but intrictae production values that has always define Vanderslice’s music. Percussive clicks and electronic drums provide song structure while Vanderslice’s recognizable vocals buoy the songs. Hear both tracks below, and order your physical copy or download RIGHT HERE.
