Cults is a band that gained popularity quickly with infectious, textured pop music. Despite the band having only one record, they’ve achieved a great deal of success and managed to find favor with indie pop lovers and listeners who lean more toward radio rock. When will there be more music?… Because I want it.” That time has come now, with a new LP, Static, announced and on the horizon. This week we got tangible evidence of that eventuality in the form of a new track, “I Can Hardly Make You Mine.” The song is as pop and distortion driven as ever, even if a little less streamlined and more chaotic.
