Father John Misty, aka Joshua Tillman, formerly of Fleet Foxes fame, created one of the best albums of 2012. Blending the styles of great songwriters such as Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, and Harry Nilsson, FJM’s songs are singable and memorable. They’re the kind of tunes that we could hear over and over again–and have. Live, Tillman’s wry humor oozes from the stage in everything from his sarcastic sneer to his hippy shimmying to his opaque, deadpan cynicism. The man is a born performer, playing incredible songs. It’s a show you want to see. We promise. Tickets available here. A couple videos for tracks from his excellent album Fear Fun embedded below.
