Gems Announce EP Release Show, Stream “Medusa” Now

Washington D.C.’s Gems create ghostly pop with soaring synths and steady beats. The band is a boy-girl duo featuring Lindsay Pitts and Clifford John who’s sound falls somewhere between Beach House and Purity Ring, and fans of both of those bands will find a lot to like about Gems. The real power of their song “Medusa” lies in the slight changes in arrangement between verse, chorus, and refrain. The band has announced dual release shows both in D.C. and in New York at U Street Music Hall and Music Hall of Williamsburg respectively. Stream “Medusa” below.

11.11.13 – Music Hall of Williamsburg – Brooklyn, NY #
