You may already know that The Head and the Heart will play back to back nights in Austin at Stubb’s this Saturday and Sunday evenings. It’s always nice to see a larger act bringing along less established acts from their hometown regions. Portland folk rock outfit Quiet Life will open both nights at Stubb’s, bringing their varyingly delicate and crunchy songs to the Austin crowd. Some of the band’s arrangements amble by gently, utilizing pedal steel and frail vocals, while others embrace punchy drums and distorted guitars, recalling bands such as Whiskeytown. Below you can hear a song from the group’s recently released debut Wild Pack, and you can stream the entire thing over at Under the Radar. Get tickets for the show HERE.
