Julianna Barwick Shares Video, Launches Tour

Ghostly, serene, beautiful, and fluid are all words that might be used to describe Julianna Barwick’s new video for “The Harbinger,” and in fact, her entire newest effort Nepenthe, out now on Dead Oceans. The problem with these words, is that they are merely that–words–a limited medium of conveying feeling that can never completely capture the purely transcendent emotion that Barwick’s music creates. In addition to this new video, Barwick launched a U.S. tour last week that will eventually make a stop in Austin at The Parish on December 5th. Get your tickets here! Watch “The Harbinger” below.
