60s folk is written all over “Water,” the first track to emerge from Jaun Wauters’ solo debut. The former frontman for The Beets has signed to Captured Tracks and will issue N.A.P North American Poetry on February 4th of next year. “Water” is a melodic, acoustic tune–Leonard Cohen and Simon and Garfunkel spring to mind–but there’s a wandering introspectiveness that leans toward much of the garage and psychedelic music being created by contemporary musicians such as Mac DeMarco and Kurt Vile.
