After almost a decade of silence, 90s lynchpin indie rock outfit Superchunk released Majesty Shredding in 2010 and continued their return by following up with I Hate Music earlier this year. Today the group released a new video for album track “Void.” Employing an extended intro featuring comedians Jon Benjamin, Jon Glaser, and Ted Travelstead, the video humorously explores interpersonal interactions and rock show social dynamics. Travelstead won’t give up the dream of a mosh pit while Glaser and Benjamin pose as security guards and a rotating cast of musicians (including Heliotropes, Ava Luna, Lost Boy ?, and Weird Womb) pose as the performing band along with Mac McCaughan and Superchunk. The video was directed by Scott Jacobson and produced by Laura Griffin. Watch above.
