6 Great Shows in Austin This Saturday Night

Shivery_Shakes-7People always talk about how Austin is the “Live Music Capital of the World.” While I love and embrace our city’s moniker, I still feel like we could do more to support our local music community as proud Austinites. That effort begins with simply getting out for shows at one of our many great live music clubs. Our city’s slogan will be entirely apt this Saturday and will afford a number of great opportunities to see live music from a variety of styles. Thanks, as always, to Showlist Austin for doing an amazing job keeping track of the goings-on around town. Here are SIX great spots to be all on this Saturday night. Don’t forget that you can support local Austin artists by coming out to our first annual Austin Music Blogger Awards on Feb. 27th! Get your tickets now!

1. Check out this FREE show with lo-fi pop and garage rock bands Those Howlings, Party Plants, Basketball Shorts at Trailer Space. We just reviewed and posted about the debut EP from Party Plants and are totally into it. Stream a track below.
