You didn’t really expect a rap project involving Sufjan Stevens to be without some heavy shit, right? Sisyphus, the collaboration between Stevens and hip-hop artists Son Lux and Serengeti has shared a video for the song “Alcohol” from their forthcoming LP, Sisyphus, which will be released via Asthmatic Kitty and Joyful Noise Recordings on March 18th. The song confronts issues of generational substance abuse and the conflicted traits parents can impart to children. The song is the third to be released from the album. The other two, “Calm It Down” and “Rhythm of Devotion” are available for streaming after the video. More info about the project, including pre-order, available here.
