Daniel Francis Doyle’s “It’s Work” Video Stars Cast of Austin Musician

Daniel Francis Doyle is the kind of guy who sets out on tour via Greyhound Bus with just a guitar. His quirky songs are simultaneously charming, infectious, and challenging as his delightful melodies wander over angular, jilted instrumentation. We had the privilege of premiering new songs from Doyle last month while he was out on tour. Now, a video for “It’s Work,” one of the songs from that collection has been released. Directed by Ben Aqua, the video features some odd “work,” such as smashing eggs with a hammer, pouring coffee (over smashed eggs), chopping wood, sawing an egg in half, almost playing instruments, cutting eggs with scissors, picking up a phone, and… did we mention the eggs? The video’s cast of characters, which includes notable Austin musicians such as Jennifer Moore, Adam Jones, David Longoria, and Thor Harris, sports some face paint and shiny silver suits as they do choreographed modern dance. Let’s put it this way: it’s a must see.
