Increasingly, the world of EDM merges with the world of independent rock as festivals readily welcome both genres of musicians and electronic producers remix songs by respected indie artists. A fine line exists between mindlessly indulgent and grotesquely repetitive techno and carefully nuanced, brilliantly textured dance music. ODESZA exists in the camp that has appealed to the latter by employing interesting changes and subtle rhythms that don’t beat the listener over the head, pun (sadly) intended. This Saturday, ODESZA performs at Stubb’s on a bill with other electronic acts D33J and Kodak to Graph. Get your tickets for the dance party right here. Below you can watch the official video for the title track from ODESZA’s most recent effort.
