It definitely feels odd, perhaps even seedy, to write a post about yourself in the third person. So, past the above headline, I’m coming clean with you. After working on Pop Press International for over two years, I wanted to take some time to zoom in on people within the Austin music community more closely, spend time developing deeper stories, and commit those to print, create a tangible item. So, True Sincerity was born. Issue #1 is out now and available online at True Sincerity’s shop as well as from Punctum Records. You can find the journal at brick and mortar stars End of an Ear and Farewell Books. The issue features interviews with Jess Williamson, Josh Denslow of Borrisokane, Alex Cohen of Alex Napping, Dan Rudmann of Punctum Records, Jenna Carrens of Attendance Records, and Andrew Stevens of half the bands in Austin. Below you can check out the front cover and a sample page from the issue. Rest assured, Pop Press INTL. will continue. Thank you friends and fans for all your support now and forever.
