I’m pumped about this Mac DeMarco show. The last two times I’ve seen the lackadaisical psych pop guitarist have been at a SXSW event and at Fun Fun Fun Fest. Don’t get me wrong, DeMarco delivered great sets on both occasions, but I’m looking forward to spending an evening less distracted by the chaos of festivals. DeMarco’s newest effort of lazy surf-tinged pop, Salad Days, just dropped last week via Captured Tracks. Opening the night will be like-minded songwriter Jaun Wauters, who album North American Poetry was also recently released by Captured Tracks. The night’s sold out, but there’s always showing up and hoping for folks with extras. Check out tracks by both Mac DeMarco and Juan Wauters below.
