If you’ve ever found yourself wishing that Voxtrot had never dissolved, now you can practically satiate any lament with the musical output of its members. Core members Jason Chronis and Matt Simon have been putting out some great new songs as Tele Novella, and now, former Voxtrot frontman Ramesh Srivastava will release his solo album, The King, through Austin Town Hall Records this June. The album has previously been available in a digital format, but this will mark the first time for a physical release. The label has shared a single, “1111,” from the forthcoming album. The song features sweeping synth strings and sweetly sung vocals. If you’ve never heard a track from Ramesh before, you find plenty to like if you’re a fan of Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Twin Shadow, or the 80s (the decade, that’s not some band’s attempt at a clever name). Stream “1111” below.
