Future Islands have exploded in the last few months. The buzz surrounding the band permeated the week of SXSW, and the band made their network television debut with David Letterman last month. The band’s upbeat, New Order-derived synth pop is infectious and addicting, but it’s Future Islands’ live show that sets them apart from like-minded bands. Charismatic frontman Samuel T. Herring is a dance machine onstage, moving about in alternatingly fluid and spastic motions. For proof, you can see a video of the band performing on Letterman below, as well as check out their latest video for album track “A Dream of Me and You.”
