Punctum Records has been a busy label since its inception. We’ve written about the young Austin/Brooklyn based imprint several times in relationship to their releasing of material by Shivery Shakes, RF Shannon, and Mother Falcon. Punctum is working with some of Austin’s best artist and has a slew of releases slated for release over the next few months. Just last week, songwriter, composer, and professional ballet dancer Jordan Moser announced he has joined the Punctum Roster and will celebrate the release of his new album Mainstream Reservoir on May 17th with a show at Central Presbyterian Church.
Although for the time being, Moser’s music and relationship with Punctum centers on his indie-folk songwriting, it will be interesting to see if his background as a composer and ballet dancer will become a greater part of his artistic output for the label. Punctum has several experimental and diverse acts on their roster, and the label seems an apt home for musicians to work across genres, styles, and media.
