It feels increasingly like the appeal of the mega festival is waning and the popularity of the medium to micro-fest is on the rise. Festivals like Fun Fun Fun Fest, Riot Fest, and Free Press Summer Festival continually have more interesting, more diverse, and more fresh lineups than most of the larger scale events across the country. FYF Fest falls into that same category; this year’s fest will features headliners The Strokes and Phoenix as well as indie champions such as Death Grips, Ty Segall, Mac DeMarco, and Angel Olsen.
