Although this track dropped last week, I haven’t seen it posted on nearly enough outlets. Hiss Golden Messenger’s “Brother, Do You Know the Road?” is a stand-alone single out now and available on iTunes. Merge records will release a full length from the artist in coming months, but this track will remain exclusively available as a digital single. “Brother, Do You Know the Road?” is a plodding country tune that rambles along easily, a winding road through the landscape of Americana. The repetitive call-and-response of background vocals pass by like counting off the mile markers on some long southern highway. Listen to the song below.
