Austin synth pop band Letting Up Despite Great Faults has shared the initial single from their forthcoming album Neon, due out on August 12. The cover for Neon features an array of flowers in a variety of stunning colors. Vibrant, lush, and photographically crisp, the cover image works as an apt metaphor for the music the band creates. Letting Up has a penchant for pristine songs that feature soaring synths and shimmering guitars–indie pop in all it’s saccharine glory. The song opens with the line, “I’m comfortably wrapped in you,” and it doesn’t get any less sugary. The band will celebrate the release of Neon with a show at Holy Mountain on August 16, presented by Austin blogs Pop Press INTL., Austin Town Hall, and Side One Track One.
