Epic Two Stage Local Bill with Black Books & Young Tongue Dominates Mohawk Saturday Night

Young_Tongue_at_CUC_062014-1Sometimes it’s amazing what you can get for eight bucks. You get a sandwich, or you could see eight incredible bands play at Mohawk on Saturday night. You could get two lattes, or you could see eight bands, that’s just a dollar a band (the same amount you tip a dude just for pouring you a beer), at Mohawk this Saturday. If Mohawk isn’t packed with patrons on Saturday night, I’m going to have some serious qualms about our city’s claim to the Live Music Capital of the World title.

Black Books’ brand of buzzing, austere indie rock is stellar, and Young Tongue’s upbeat onstage energy, supplied in large part by LiZ Baker’s playful dancing, is incredible. The bill is rounded out by outstanding acts like the ethereal pop of Isiah the Mosaic and the wavering croons of Modern Medicine. Get out there and see these bands! Buy your tickets here!
