Song Premiere: Young Tongue’s “Matriarch” from The Versus Project

borrisokane_versus_projectThe Versus Project is going to be amazing. And that’s not a hard claim to make, since several songs have been shared from the forthcoming six-disc, six-band collaborative box set both on this site and others. We’ve been rocking their debut track “Cat Calls” for several months; their contribution of new material to The Versus Project, “Matriarch,” features a similarly ambitious and multi-textured arrangement, full of metallic clanging, post-punky guitar spasms, and abrupt shifts.
