Non-Profit Experimental Theater Company Twin Alchemy Plans First Season

On recent trip to Houston, I had a conversation with a close friend about the abundance of live theater in Houston. We’ve had similar conversations in the past about the city’s arts community as well. While Austin affords amazing opportunities to see live music any night of the week at truly innumerable venues, it often strikes me that other facets of the creative arts have less of a presence. Which is why I was excited when Shawn Jones (of the Lovely Sparrows) and his partner Katie Green, told me they had plans to open an experimental theater company in town.

Currently, the organization is planning its first season that promises to feature a combination of live theater, music, audience participation, and myriad innovative forms of artistic expression. The group’s work has already garnered high acclaim from critics. For only a few more hours, you can donate to the company’s IndieGoGo campaign right here. Below, watch a thorough video detailing what the company has been up to already and what they have planned for the future.
