Austin psych-pop band Kodachrome, under the guidance of band leader John Constant, has recorded the soundtrack for an upcoming gritty western film, Kill or Be Killed, and we’re proud to premiere one track from said soundtrack today on Pop Press International. “Red On Yella Kill A Fella” employs a wash of gentle, psychedelic waves that drift beneath the airy female vocals of Samantha Constant recalling the work of Nancy Sinatra. The film soundtrack marks the second such project for Kodachrome, who created award winning music for the documentary film Man On A Mission. For Kill or Be Killed, Kodachrome band member and producer Erik Wofford recruited an incredible cast of talent, including Aaron Behrens (Ghostland Observatory), Nic Armstrong (Nic Armstrong and the Thieves), Billy White and Jesse Ebaugh (The Heartless Bastards), Billy Potts (The Black and White Years), Leigh Mahoney and Tracy Seager (Tosca String Quartet). The soundtrack will be available via iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and other media platforms on March 1st. For now, stream “Red On Yella Kill A Fella” below, as well as a trailer for the film following the track embed.
