For the past few years, we’ve caught up with artists participating in Converse Rubber Tracks’ pop up studio sessions at SXSW, during which the organization provides a full day of free studio time to select Texas bands. The year, bands had an added incentive to apply: one band would be chosen to be mentored through their studio time by renowned indie rock band Spoon’s frontman Britt Daniel. That band ended up being San Marcos’ The Two Lips, and the entire experience was documented by Converse Rubber Tracks in a short film. Check out that film and hear the resulting finished song below. Find out more about The Two Lips on their website, right here.
